Return & Refund Policy

At Barks & Brownies, every product is made with care and inspected before it ships. If something isn't quite right, we're here to help — within the guidelines below.

By placing an order with Barks & Brownies, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Return & Refund Policy.

Return Window

We accept return requests within 30 days of delivery. Requests submitted after 30 days will not be eligible for return, refund, or exchange.

Eligibility

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unused, unwashed, and in the same condition you received them
  • In their original packaging with all tags, inserts, and accessories intact
  • Free from pet hair, odors, stains, scratches, bite marks, or any signs of use
  • Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions. Items returned in unsellable condition will not be refunded and may be returned to you at your expense.

How to Start a Return

Email us at info@barksandbrownies.com with your order number and reason for return. Once approved, we'll send return instructions and a prepaid shipping label.

Items shipped back without prior approval will not be accepted, refunded, or returned to sender.

Return Costs

  • $7.99 flat-rate return shipping, deducted from your refund
  • No restocking fee
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping on exchanges and returns

Non-Returnable Items

The following are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under any circumstances:

  • All sale, clearance, or discounted items.
  • Gift cards
  • Consumable items, including treats, chews, and edible products
  • Bundles, kits, or limited-edition collections, unless the entire bundle is returned intact
  • Items marked "Final Sale" on the product page
  • Gifts with purchase and free promotional items

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We stand behind the quality of every product. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Contact us at info@barksandbrownies.com within 48 hours of delivery
  • Include your order number, clear photos of the issue, and photos of the packaging
  • Claims submitted after 48 hours will not be eligible for replacement or refund

Once we've reviewed your claim, we'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you. We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether an item qualifies as damaged or defective.

Please note: normal wear and tear, damage caused by your pet (chewing, scratching, tearing), improper care, or use outside the product's intended purpose are not covered.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. To get a different size, color, or style, please return your original item per the policy above and place a new order separately. This is the fastest way to get what you want.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since approval and you haven't received your refund, contact us at info@barksandbrownies.com.

Refunds will reflect the item price only, less the $7.99 return shipping fee. Original shipping charges, expedited shipping upgrades, and any discounts applied at checkout are non-refundable.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, Barks & Brownies is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We recommend adding shipping protection at checkout for full coverage. Claims for missing packages must be filed directly with the carrier.

Refused or Undeliverable Packages

Orders refused at delivery or returned to us as undeliverable (due to incorrect address, failure to claim, etc.) will be refunded less original shipping costs and a $7.99 return handling fee. 

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are unable to refund or replace orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer. Contacting the carrier, attempting to reroute or change delivery, and recovering the package are the customer’s responsibility.

Wholesale & B2B Orders

Wholesale, Faire, and bulk orders are governed by separate terms and are not eligible for the policies outlined above. Please refer to your wholesale agreement or contact info@barksandbrownies.com.

Policy Updates

Barks & Brownies reserves the right to update, modify, or amend this Return & Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your order.
